RUNNING TOTAL OF SIGNATURES AS AT 30.07.05: 30,053

Since the launch of the Evening Gazette and CCSAG petition in October 2004, thousands upon thousands of people from around the world have added their support to the community stadium project in Colchester.

The CCSAG group have ventured around the country, garnering signatures from those that want this facility built in the town and every signature gained is another name who could potentially be a customer at the new stadium and its surrounding businesses.

RECENT EVENTS

30.07.05
The Stadium petition today (27th July) passed the 30,000 signature mark, with a total of 360 names being added to the cause during the last two pre-season friendly matches against Brighton and Norwich, at Layer Road on 23rd and 26th July respectively. The exact total now stands at 30,053.

12.06.05
The CCSAG members were again in action at the SGR football 5-a-side competition held at Wivenhoe on Saturday, 11th June. The four managed to get another 330 signed up, taking the overall petition total to around 29,530

21.05.05
CCSAG members attended the Sky tv Premier Darts League match, held at the Charter Hall in Colchester, on Thursday, 19th May. The four members collected an amazing 510 signatures in an hour and half. Fantastic support from the public attending the event and the staff at the Leisure Centre. The running total now stands at 29,194.

18.05.05
The CCSAG attend the Colchester United 5-a-side competition, which is attended by teams representing a host of businesses from around the local area. A further 285 signatures are collected, to go with 165 from the Army and 90 from the Layer Road Ticket Office. With these signaturs, the new total is now 28,684

A final day of the season collection of names, grabs a highly impressive 507 names, thanks to the friendly Torquay United fans who visited Layer Road.
